Anambra belongs to APGA – Soludo responds to APC attempt to take over state

Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has reacted to the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) assertion that it will unseat him in the upcoming election.

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s departure from the APC has not diminished the party’s confidence in its ability to win the 2025 governorship.

In a recent interview, Mr. Basil Ejidike, the party’s state chairman, predicted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which is now in power, would naturally dissolve when the APC takes over the state in 2025.
However, in response to these assertions, Soludo stated in a news statement issued under the signature of Mr. Christian Aburime, his press secretary, that APGA would not be replaced by any other party, not even the APC, which he maintains does not exist in the state.

As to the announcement, Anambra State is not home to the APC. Because the people of Anambra State have accepted the All Progressives Grand Alliance as their own political movement and because the APC and other opposition parties are powerless to stop it, the state will always be known as APGA territory.

“We have been hearing the remarks made by Basil Ejidike, the APC’s state chairman in Anambra. It appears as though he is not a resident of Anambra State. Reiterating that Soludo had done nothing, perhaps he was operating under the assumption that Soludo was blinded.

Since Ebonyi has had a governor for eight years, there is no basis for comparison between that state and Anambra. After barely two years in office, Soludo’s accomplishments are impressive. He is even capable of competing with governors who have served eight years in other states.

“It is the blind man who does not see what Soludo is doing in Anambra State; in less than two years, Soludo has turned the entire state into a construction site.” However, we can take solace in the knowledge that Ndi-Anambra approve of Soludo’s work and are willing to back him.

“He can see that there are roads. He can view additional infrastructures. Every average person can witness the multitude of things Soludo is accomplishing. Basil Ejidike must be having some sort of problem. To make sure he is, in fact, a normal person, he must examine every aspect of his psychological makeup.

As APGA is naturally our party, “Let me tell Basil Ejidike that Anambra is APGA land and Ndi-Anambra will forever support APGA,” the release said.
