A three-member panel has been established by the Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to look into Saleh Zazzaga, the party’s chieftain, for supporting Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
According to reports, Zazzaga supported Bola Tinubu, the governor and president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2027 election.
According to reports, the State Working Committee (SWC) called Zazzaga’s endorsement an anti-party act during its Monday meeting.

Rufus Bature, the State Chairman, “noted with sadness that last weekend, the social media in particular, was awash with unpleasant reports, which to some extent portrayed the party, as if all is well with the Party,” according to a statement issued by its Acting Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi.

Bature stated that it is impossible to ignore the trend. He exhorted panelists to treat everyone equally, fearlessly, and without partiality.
According to the text, the meeting also pointed out that the regrettable occurrence cannot be waved away and must instead be addressed in accordance with the Party’s Constitution.

In accordance with the Party’s directives, the meeting decided to establish an investigating panel to ascertain the truth or falsity of the claimed offense and Alhaji Saleh’s responsibility.

Following the panel’s formation, the chairman gave the members two weeks to submit their report in accordance with the Party’s Constitution and urged them to treat everyone equally and without fear or favor.

During the Party’s national summit and North-Central zonal meeting last week in Abuja, the Chairman took advantage of the occasion to praise the State’s delegates for their active participation.

“In the meantime, Party members have received praise for their unwavering devotion to the Party and support.”
