APC Hits Back at El-Rufai: ‘When You Point One Finger at Others, Four Point Back

The immediate former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has come under fire from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which claims he is living up to the future he previously prophesied for others.
In a succinct statement posted on its official 𝕏 account on Friday, the APC criticized the former governor’s behavior and compared him to someone who blames others while neglecting their own shortcomings.
“Now, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is living the future that only he himself predicted. APC wrote, “El-Rufai, a stellar example of pointing one finger at others with four pointing back…,” suggesting that he was acting hypocritically.

The party also suggested that people who talk loudly but ignore the hollowness behind their words should not be taken seriously.

The APC declared, “Never take seriously those who speak with a loud and angry tone that only covers the terrible emptiness they harbor inside.”

According to reports, El-Rufai, one of the APC’s founding members, stunned many when he joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in March 2025.

Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa State, has claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan is the PDP’s best candidate for president in 2027 and urged the party to take proactive steps to reinstate him.

“Given his experience, leadership record, and collaborative style, Jonathan continues to be the most viable candidate the PDP can present,” Lamido stated on Friday’s episode of Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He is the PDP’s greatest option, thus I believe they should try to court him now,” Lamido stated. I think he’s their best option. If the PDP nominates someone, Nigerians would back them.

Lamido claimed that no Southern PDP member today could match Jonathan’s lineage, according to Naija News.

“It will be the PDP if we award the presidency to the South. He questioned, “Who in the PDP is now capable of challenging Jonathan in terms of holding office, being a full-headed individual, being a key player who values collaboration, and being someone who is willing to listen?”

He pointed out that Jonathan had experience leading the nation, was aware of the difficulties involved in running a government, and had kept cordial contacts with a variety of political players.

The former governor’s remarks coincide with ongoing conjecture on Jonathan’s potential 2027 presidential run and a return to the PDP.
