The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has called on party members across the state to actively participate in the ongoing electronic registration exercise, stressing that full engagement is vital for the party’s future success.
Omale also urged residents to take part in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that broad voter participation is crucial ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He made the remarks on Thursday while hosting a delegation of political leaders and stakeholders from the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, who paid him a courtesy visit.
During the meeting, the APC chairman emphasised the importance of unity, loyalty, and collective effort as preparations intensify for the upcoming elections.
“Let me use this opportunity to encourage our party members to actively participate in the ongoing e-registration exercise and, at the same time, urge all residents to register through INEC’s Continuous Voter Registration program,” Omale said.
He reaffirmed that the APC under his leadership remains committed to fairness, justice, and inclusiveness, assuring that the party will continue to prioritise the interests of the people of Benue State.
The delegation, led by Musa Ujor, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, commended the state party leadership and expressed strong confidence in the APC’s direction at both state and national levels.
Other elders and stakeholders also expressed appreciation to Governor Hyacinth Alia, citing his openness, inclusiveness, and commitment to the development of their constituency. They reiterated their support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Alia.
The group noted that the governor has consistently supported the Otukpo/Ohimini area through key appointments, including the Deputy Governor, the Commissioners for Finance and Health, and the APC State Chairman, all hailing from the constituency.
Made up of elders, women, youth leaders, and other influential community figures, the delegation pledged to mobilise grassroots support for the APC and Governor Alia as the 2027 elections approach.
They also praised Omale for his steadfast leadership and efforts to strengthen and stabilise the party structure across Benue State.
