Hon. Osamede Edorodion, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Edo State’s Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area and a former Vice Chairman of the council, has argued for the election of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the next President of the House of Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to Edorodion, experience and pedigree are important factors in determining who holds such a prominent position in the country’s governance.
He stated that in the current political arrangement, the South-South geopolitical zone is better positioned to provide the Senate President.
“Oshiomhole was a labour leader, he did excellently well; as a governor, he did excellently well; as a National Chairman of the ruling party, he also did excellently well; Edo people are fully supportive of his Senate Presidency,” Edorodion said in a chat with newsmen in Benin City.
Speaking on the state of the nation, Edorodion stated that the challenges that the Ahmed Bola Tinubu Presidency will face are numerous, and he advised the need for caution in selecting members of the Federal Executive Council.
