APC Slams Tambuwal, Says He’s ‘Politically Dead’

Aminu Tambuwal, the former governor of Sokoto State, has come under fire from the All Progressives Congress, or APC, which calls him “politically retired.”

The onslaught was started by Sadiq Achida, the party’s state chairman, during a press conference in Sokoto on Monday.

Tambuwal had no independent political basis, according to Achida, who asserted that political godfathers, especially Senator Aliyu Wamakko, were responsible for his ascent to prominence.

He believed that Tambuwal had a dismal political future.

“A politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a collapsed state cannot be revived by any Abuja alliance, media propaganda, or recycled coalition,” the APC chairman declared.

In order to avoid being held responsible for leaving behind a state beset by unfinished projects, Achida further claimed that Tambuwal declined to legally turn over power to his successor in 2023.
