Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a former member of the State House of Assembly, has been suspended indefinitely, according to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State.
Oyintiloye was charged with misconduct by the party, which claimed he embezzled ₦5.6 million.
The party made their announcement in a letter dated Thursday, January 29, 2026, to Tajudeen Lawal, the party’s Osun State Chairman.
The letter states that “the suspension followed a meeting of ward executives, leaders, and members who reportedly deliberated on issues said to be affecting unity and cohesion within the ward.”
The letter, which was signed by five leaders and eighteen ward executives, accused Oyintiloye of allegedly stealing ₦5.6 million in monies and an Executive Assistant (EA) position without permission.
“The funds were originally allocated for ward leaders, alleging that Oyintiloye had already secured a personal EA slot through a third party while holding a federal appointment,” according to the signatories.
Additionally, they said that the former lawmaker was “involved in activities capable of causing division within the ward, including the organization of parallel meetings.”
He was also charged by the ward administration with “prolonged absence from ward meetings and political activities for over three years.”
The letter also claimed that despite receiving multiple political positions, there had been no material or monetary donations to ward operations.
It noted, “In view of the foregoing and his consistent lack of engagement and contributions to ward affairs, it has become necessary to take decisive disciplinary action.”
“Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye is hereby suspended indefinitely from Ward One, Ibokun, and shall cease to represent the interests of the ward at any level,” the ward leaders announced.
They emphasized that their first concern was the APC’s unity and success ahead of next elections, but they also stated that they were still open to party leaders getting involved.
