Ibrahim Balarabe Abdulahi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was fired as Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly by the Court of Appeal located in Abuja.

In the ruling handed down on Tuesday, the court ruled that Sa’ad Ibrahim, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was duly elected to represent Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency in the state assembly election scheduled for March 18.

There was reportedly a fight over speakership between Mr. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, who represents Kokona East, and Mr. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, who represents Umaisha-Ugya.
More information was acquired, indicating that the problem in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly had given rise to two speakers. Abdulahi Sule, the state governor, eventually addressed the issue, leaving Balarabe as speaker, but the appeal court fired him on Tuesday.

The fired speaker had not yet responded to the appellate court’s decision when completing this story.
