Apply: INEC Starts Recruitment of Ad-Hoc Staff for Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Governorship Elections

Abuja, FCT – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the start of Ad-Hoc Staff recruitment for the impending off-cycle Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States. Registration will be open for five weeks, according to the electoral board.

On August 32, ad hoc staff registration will begin. INEC stated that its registration portal will open on Thursday, August 31, 2023, for interested Nigerians and will finish on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Thursday, August 31, 2023, 8:00 a.m. Portal opens Portal Closing Date: Monday, October 2, 2023, 12:00 a.m. INEC publishes the list of governorship candidates. Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued the final list of candidates for the governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states on Tuesday, June 6. Festus Okoye, INEC national commissioner and head of the Information and Voter Education Committee, announced this in a statement issued on Tuesday.

He stated that the list was approved following a meeting conducted by the commission on Tuesday in Abuja. INEC prepares 11,355 BVAS for polls in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given a firm commitment about the governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states on November 11. A top commission official, who requested anonymity, stated that the panel would assure free, fair, and legitimate gubernatorial elections.

The commission also stated that it would deploy 11,355 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) equipment in the states for voter accreditation.
