The General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, today, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This was revealed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who shared photographs from the meeting on social media.

“President Buhari receives Pastor Tunde Bakare in State House on 15th Oct 2021,” Adesina captioned the photos.

The presidential aide, however, failed to disclose details of the meeting.

The meeting is coming a few days after Bakare criticised the All Progressives Congress and the Buhari administration in a scathing sermon adding that ‘Power must change hands in 2023’.

He said the country is under “political hypnosis” and called for “true progressives” to “take back”  the country.

Bakare was Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential elections.

“Fellow Nigerians, I’m here to announce to you that the time has come for the true progressives to arise, say enough is enough to political hypnosis,” said while preaching at his church in Lagos last Sunday.
