BETINAH Benson, mother of the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Konbowei Benson, has been abducted.

The 80-year-old was taken into captivity by armed men clothed in military camouflage last night at her residence in the Old Assembly Quarters, Yenagoa, the State capital.
Her son, before his appointment by Governor Douye Diri in February 2020, was a two-term Speaker of the State House of Assembly and a PDP governorship aspirant during the 2019 gubernatorial poll in the state.
Diri and Benson are yet to state the incident.
