Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State, has cautioned Abba Alhaji Mammadi, the state’s new Grand Khadi, to follow the principles of justice, fairness, and honesty for everyone without resorting to political, religious, or ethnocultural distinctions.
Buni issued the warning soon after presiding over the swearing-in ceremony at Government House, Damaturu’s Banquet Hall for the new Grand Khadi, Special Advisers, and Permanent Secretaries.
He instructed them to reinforce due process, be proactive, and introduce new ideas to enable effective and efficient service delivery in the state, stating that their selections were made on the basis of merit, dedication, and loyalty.
In order to address the needs and desires of our people, he promised, “the government would continue to equip and reposition the Public Service to be more responsive to our current demands for speedy and effective implementation of our policies and programs.”
Prior to his nomination as the Grand Khadi, 29-year veteran jurist Abba Alhaji Mammadi had meritoriously served in a number of State Judicial Service positions.
Alh. Dauda Yahaya, a permanent member of the Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), was also sworn in as a Special Adviser, along with Kulloma Umara Muhammad, Saleh Budde Sherrif, Hajiya Saratu Sabo, Mohammed Ibrahim Jalo, and Hon. Mohammed Bazam Maidoki.
Abdu Shuaibu, Mai Dala Baleri Bularafa, Salamatu Yahaya Nangere, Bamai Zanna, Bako Modu Kagu, Engineer Mai Modu Goniri, and Musa Garba were the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries who took their oaths of office and loyalty.
The others are Dr. Yusuf Idriss Madaki, Ibrahim Ali, Mohammed Annur, Abbas Isah Bizi, Mohammed Kalli, and Abubakar Usman Kolere.
