The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dropped all of the charges against former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose in his lengthy money laundering case.
According to reports, on Tuesday, July 16, 2025, a Federal High Court in Lagos rendered a decision declaring that the EFCC’s evidence was not sufficient to support the charges.
The court essentially decided that the prosecution had not proven a sufficient case against Fayose to support a further defense, upholding his no-case submission.
