BREAKING: Hundreds Of Fubara Supporters Storm Port Harcourt Streets, Demand Gov’s Reinstatement

In Port Harcourt, hundreds of supporters of Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended governor of Rivers State, have demonstrated and called for his reinstatement.
We have learned that on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the demonstrators began their march from Aggrey Road in Old Port Harcourt Township.

“Together we stand for Governor Sim Fubara,” “We want back our governor; we all voted for him,” and “Governor Fubara is the pride of Rivers People” were among the statements on the black-clad protesters’ placards, according to reports.

Rivers State has been racked by anti- and pro-protests ever since President Bola Tinubu proclaimed a state of emergency on March 18 and suspended Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and members of the state House of Assembly. This is the most recent in a string of protests.
