Only last Friday was the first grid failure of the year.
At around 10:53 am, the Nigeria National Grid on X confirmed this most recent meltdown.
All that was written in the post was “Grid Collapse.”
“Restoration is in progress!” was tweeted in response.
Numbers from the Nigerian Independent System Operator, or NISO, show that power generation has dropped to 0 megawatts.
Ikeja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Benin, Eko, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Abuja, and Yola are among the distribution companies impacted.
