The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has sealed off the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja’s Wuse neighborhood.
The building was sealed at around 2:05 p.m. Monday.
The FCTA officials were claimed to have arrived on the scene and instructed the security guard to consult with the appropriate authorities.
The FCTA said last week that it will begin taking ownership of 4,794 properties revoked owing to non-payment of ground rent, which has been unpaid for durations ranging from 10 to 43 years, on Monday, May 26, 2025.

The administration declared that it will take possession of these properties regardless of ownership status.
Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, made the announcement during a news conference in Abuja on Friday, along with the Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, and the Director of the Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima.
Recall that on March 19, 2025, the administration withdrew the Wadata Plaza, which functions as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat and is located in Wuse Zone 5, due to repeated failures to pay ground rent.
