BREAKING: Trump Must Seek Tinubu’s Approval Before Any US Military Action – Presidency

According to Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy Communication, it would be diplomatically unacceptable for the US to conduct any military operation in Nigeria without permission.

In a Monday interview with BBC World Service, Bwala made this claim.

He emphasized that Nigeria is a sovereign state and that any foreign involvement in its internal security matters must be cooperative and considerate of its territorial integrity.

Bwala’s remarks follow US President Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” due to purported Christian persecution.

Additionally, Trump vowed to use the US “Department of War” to combat terrorist organizations he said were attacking Christians in Nigeria.

“It’s acceptable if it’s a joint operation with Nigeria,” stated Bwala.

However, invading a sovereign country without cooperation is inappropriate from a diplomatic standpoint, particularly if that country continues to be a vital ally in the struggle against instability.

Only when there is proof that a government is involved in a crisis does unilateral action take place. In Nigeria, it is most definitely not the case, he stated.
