Ten persons have been killed in a building collapse that occurred Thursday morning, October 31, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The structure, which was situated in the Jegeda Oluloyo neighborhood of Ibadan in the state’s Ona Ara Local Government Area, fell at around two in the morning on Thursday, according to the Oyo State Fire Services Agency, which confirmed the occurrence.

The agency reports that while the remains of the deceased have been retrieved, seven other people were injured in varying degrees during the incident.
The Oyo State Fire Services Agency received a worried call at around two in the morning today morning in the Jegede Olunloyo neighborhood of Ibadan, according to the statement. Ten people were saved alive from the wreckage of the structure, while seven more were recovered from the debris. The search and rescue effort is still on.
