President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian Armed Forces to fish out and ensure that the bandits who killed seven personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are made to face the wrath of the law.
The president, in a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said, “The Armed Forces must seek the bandits who inflicted this casualty and make them pay the price”.
President Buhari condemned the killing of the NSCDC personnel, who he said were diligently contributing their quota to national development.
The Nigerian News reports that the seven personnel were ambushed and killed by bandits in Kaduna State while on official duty.
While mourning the personnel, President Buhari, who said they died as heroes, braving all odds to guard the country and its people, described their death as the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
He also commiserated with the families of the deceased including their compatriots in service, praying, “May Almighty God grant them and the entire service the fortitude to bear the loss”.
