CAF Confirms Rabat as Host City for 2025 CAF Awards, Announces Ceremony Date

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formally announced that the 2025 CAF Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.

The continental organization announced on its official website on Friday that the annual celebration of African football brilliance will start at 7 p.m. local time, which is equivalent to 7 p.m. in Nigeria.

The release stated, “The CAF Awards 2025 will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, starting from 19:00 local time.”

The biggest football players, coaches, and administrators on the continent will once again be welcomed to the Moroccan capital for what is expected to be a beautiful evening of honor and pride. In recent years, Rabat has become a well-known venue for CAF events, gaining recognition for its world-class hosting capabilities and rich cultural heritage.

With Super Eagles and Super Falcons players nominated in multiple major categories, it is anticipated that there would be a significant Nigerian representation in this year’s competition.

After yet another outstanding season in Europe, Victor Osimhen, the 2023 African Player of the Year, will be trying to hold onto his title. One of the favorites for the men’s top prize is still the Galatasaray striker.

Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for the Super Eagles, has been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year. Nwabali’s heroics in goal at the 2024 AFCON made him stand out. Daniel Bameyi, a young defender, was also included in the Young Player of the Year category due to his quick ascent to prominence on the global stage.

Forward Esther Okoronkwo and Atletico Madrid’s Rasheedat Ajibade are both vying for African Women’s Player of the Year in the women’s divisions. One of the finalists for Goalkeeper of the Year is Chiamaka Nnadozie, who is still a standout player for Paris FC and the Super Falcons.

Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bonou of Morocco, and Pape Matar Sarr of Senegal are among the other celebrities vying for awards.

at addition, there will be categories for Coach of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Club of the Year, and National Team of the Year at the 2025 CAF Awards.
