A group of children has discovered a large quantity of anti-aircraft live ammunition in Bulunkutu area of Maiduguri metropolis, Borno State.
According to reports, the discovery was made on Friday by the group who were fishing in the drainage when they noticed the suspicious items and alerted authorities.
The items, which also included power banks suspected to be intended for use to make improvised explosive devices, (IEDs).
The discovery came amid heightened security concerns in Borno State which has recorded a deadly bomb explosion attack on Christmas eve, attributed to Boko Haram insurgents.
