David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga will not play in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona because of injuries, according to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
At halftime of their 1-0 victory over Getafe on Thursday, Alaba was substituted out.
He was replaced, incidentally, by Camavinga, who was unable to complete the game himself.
According to Madrid, Camavinga will not be returning to action this season after suffering “a complete tear of his left adductor tendon.”
Ancelotti is facing the sack going into his team’s matchup with bitter rivals Barcelona this weekend, and this new double injury blow presents more issues for him.

Along with forward Kylian Mbappe, he already lacks defenders Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, and Dani Carvajal.
“Camavinga needs to be seen [on Thursday], but it’s hard for them to be there on Saturday because of their muscle issues,” he stated.
“I’m not angry because obtaining the three points was the goal. Indeed, we need greater efficacy up forward and had hoped for more stability at the back. Fran García is the only other option at left back on Saturday, yes.
