Dalung Accuses Tinubu Government of Mismanaging Funds from Fuel Subsidy Removal

Solomon Dalung, a former minister of youth and sports, has claimed that despite the enormous amount of money made by the elimination of gasoline subsidies, President Bola Tinubu’s administration has nothing to show.

According to reports, Dalung, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made this claim on Sunday’s episode of Channels Television’s Inside Sources with Laolu Akande.

“Tinubu’s government has collected a lot of money from the removal of fuel subsidies, but they have nothing to show for it,” he declared. Value Added Tax, VAT, higher electricity rates, higher data fees, and bank fees have all contributed significantly to their income.

They have also benefited greatly from the naira’s floating. The majority of them have nothing to display.

Speaking about the surge of governors defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dalung warned that many of them would regret it because of their self-serving motivations.

“A lot of politicians are defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC, today because of their selfish interest and want to identify with Tinubu’s government,” he continued. Joining the bandwagon is therefore their sole option for a smooth landing. The risk they are unaware of is that, should this election be conducted as I understand it, the presidential election will take precedence, and the majority of the governors will be shocked beyond belief.

Nigeria is currently plunging rapidly into the abyss. Nearly every aspect of our culture is disappearing. Nigeria is fortunate in every way, yet its leadership is severely lacking.
