Aliko Dangote, a billionaire industrialist, has rewarded Dangote Cement Plc’s top distributors and consumers with ₦15 billion for their unwavering devotion, tenacity, and exceptional performance.
The news was made in Lagos during the company’s 2026 Distributors’ Awards Night.
A variety of gifts totaling ₦15 billion were given to the beneficiaries, including cash awards, cement containers, luxury SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks.
During the award event, Dangote lauded the distributors as the organization’s lifeblood and commended their commitment to making sure Dangote products are available in communities across the country.
“Our vision and objectives become real outcomes because of your relentless labor in the field, your captivating dedication to our products, and your direct interaction with our customers. “Our growth journey for 2026 has already begun,” he said, referring to today’s event with the theme “Partner for Growth.”
During the event, Dangote reaffirmed its Vision 2030 goal, which calls for the Dangote Group to grow into a $100 billion business by 2030. He clarified that the plan is centered on industrial growth, international investments, and increasing Africa’s self-sufficiency in industries like infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy.
The Dangote Cement Group is aiming to increase its cement manufacturing capacity to roughly 90 million tonnes by 2030, according to the African industrial giant. He emphasized that constructing factories is only one aspect of the company’s goals. He clarified that the goal is to increase Africa’s ability to power its economy, feed itself, develop its people, and promote sustainable industrialization.
“We have announced the expansion of our petroleum refinery from 650,000 bpd to 1.4 million bpd, the fertilizer plant to 12 million metric tonnes per year, and an increase in production at the polypropylene plant under this vision,” he stated. By 2030, our cement industry wants to be able to produce about 90 million tonnes. Furthermore, if we reach 90 million tons by 2030, we would have produced 50% more than Saudi Arabia as a whole.
“Vision 2030, a key component of our Africa First project, was born out of my strong belief that Africans who dream big, work hard, and never stop believing in what is possible will be the ones to build Africa’s future.”
