Edo Cricket Super 4 thrills Akpata

Uyi Akpata, President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, has expressed satisfaction with the quality of play at the recently concluded Edo Cricket Super 4 in Benin City, according to reports.

Akpata, who attended the tournament’s final game between No Limits and U-17 Cricket Club with national coach and High Performance manager Steve Tikolo, noted that the league had the potential to produce more players for the national team.

“The quality of the matches in this Super 4 has been revealing.” “I’m sure the technical teams of the national teams are here, taking notes on some exceptional talents who might get a look in,” he said.

The third edition of the Edo State Cricket League concluded on Sunday, with No Limits Cricket Club defeating two-time champions U-17 Cricket Club to claim the Super Four trophy.
UNIBEN Cricket Club took third place after defeating Dolphin Cricket Club.

Smashers of Akwa Ibom defeated Delta Force of Asaba by 53 runs in the South-South Female League Super 4.

The matches were held at the Edo Boys High School High Performance Centre and Iyoba College in Benin City, Edo State.
