The Edo State governorship election is being closely contested, with Akpata competing against key candidates such as Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as 2.2 million registered voters determine the state’s next leader.
