The Edo state government has announced new dates for the state’s school certificate exams.
The 2023 Middle Basic Examination (MBE), also known as the Primary Six Certificate Examination, was moved to May 6 according to a statement made on Sunday in Benin by Oni Ekhosuehi, the state’s permanent secretary in charge of education.

The Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE), formerly known as the Junior School Certificate Examination (JSCE), will take place from May 2 to May 5, according to Mr. Ekhosuehi on behalf of the state commissioner for education, Joan Osa-Oviawe.

Exams that were originally scheduled for March were postponed due to a conflict with the 2023 State House of Assembly election.
