Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Dr. Habiss Ugbada, has appealed to aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress not to dump the party.
He said it was important for all party members to be united ahead of the forthcoming general elections so that the ruling party could emerge victorious at all levels.
Ugbada made the appeal during an event organised to campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in Kuje, Abuja, on Monday.
The envoy urged aggrieved members to embrace the internal mechanisms put in place by the party to address their grievances, rather than leaving the party.
He said, “I appeal to all and sundry that are aggrieved in one way or the other not to leave our great party, APC.
“The party has in place strong mechanisms to address and resolve differences. We must come together as one indivisible big family to actualise our collective goals as a people.
“Elections will come and go, but we remain brothers and sisters. Let us put all parochial interests behind and chart a common cause for all-round progress.”
Ugbada stressed the need for them to support Buhari in order to win the February 16 presidential election.
