The former executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Training Fund (TETFund), Prof. Sulaiman Elias Bogoro, has urged Nigerians to avoid divisive tendencies that could disrupt the peace and unity of the nation.

Prof. Bogoro spoke yesterday while felicitating with Christians on this year’s Christmas, commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He also urged Christians to imbibe the selfless attributes displayed by Jesus Christ for a prosperous Nigeria.

He preached that love and tolerance should live above violence, agitations, and other divisive tendencies.

The former TETFund executive secretary urged Christians and all Nigerians to sustain their abiding faith in God and promote peace, love, unity, and virtues that enhance the country’s progress.

He expressed appreciation to the state Governor, Bala Mohammed, for his decision and efforts to actualise the Sayawa Chiefdom in Bauchi.

Also speaking, the member representing Bogoro Constituency in the state Assembly, Hon. Musa Wakili Nakwada, thanked the people of Bogoro local government for their steadfastness and prayers, which have made an immense impact on the peace, unity and continued survival of the state and the nation at large.

In his Christmas sermon, Reverend Corniouls Samaila of COCIN RCC Vingam advised the Christian faithful to show love to neighbours and kindness to the less privileged and vulnerable, as well as tolerate one another across the lines of faith, politics, and ethnicity in the spirit of Jesus Christ’s unique sacrifice and teachings.
