Ex-US Mayor to Tinubu: Ambassadorial List Paints Nigeria as Corrupt, Disgraced – Reno Omokri

Mike Arnold, a former mayor of Blanco, Texas, has denounced President Bola Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominations list for Reno Omokri, a former presidential adviser.

32 new ambassadorial nominations were reportedly sent by the President to the Senate on Saturday for confirmation.

Arnold, who has frequently accused Omokri of trivializing persecution in Nigeria, responded to the news on Facebook, saying that he shouldn’t be on the list.

He claimed that by hiring people like Omokri and former Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, Tinubu was tone deaf.

According to the former mayor, the President put loyalty ahead of skill.

Arnold went on to say that the development gives young Nigerians a bad impression of the principles necessary for the nation to advance.

“With his recently announced ambassadorial appointments, Tinubu once again proves to be not only tone deaf but also deaf, dumb, and blind,” he declared. The entire globe is observing. By appointing Omokri and FFK, it is clear that he prefers money-grubbing, boot-licking, genocide-denying sycophants who vacillate on important matters above those who exhibit even a semblance of competence or integrity.

He is further demonstrating that he is a despicable despot who has no regard for the unity of Nigeria or its common people.

Even worse, what do Nigerian youngsters learn from this disgraceful tit-for-tat rewards of unscrupulous actors? It informs them that selling your soul and giving up any semblance of honor is the first step towards success in Nigeria today. This is just disgraceful.

“Today’s appointments prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Nigeria is a disgraced, corrupt nation.”
