The explosion at the Mogadishu cantonment in Abuja has been confirmed by the Nigerian.
The explosion happened at a bus stop across from the cantonment, the army stated in a statement posted on its X profile @HQNigerian Army (previously Twitter).

Additionally, An explosion near the heavily traveled Mararaba-Nyanya bypass has been confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police headquarters.
Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit responded quickly to the incident, which happened at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Monday, according to FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh. Officers were sent to the area right away.
To protect commuters and locals, she said, the impacted area was quickly roped off for clearance and examination.
In a statement, Adeh added that a male victim was saved by the police at the scene and was immediately brought to the hospital, where he is still undergoing treatment.
According to the statement, “the FCT Police Command received a distress report regarding an explosion along Mararaba-Nyanya bypass on May 26th, 2025 at approximately 2:50 PM.”
Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit were dispatched to the location right away after receiving the report. To protect commuters and locals, the impacted area was quickly roped off for clearance and investigation.
At the scene, one male victim was saved and was sent to the hospital, where he is presently undergoing treatment.
