Fayose Boasts: Oyebanji Will Be the One to Break My Record

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Ayodele Fayose has promised that Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, will surpass and shatter his electoral record.
Fayose said in a statement released on Thursday that Oyebanji will beat his 16-0 record by winning in all 177 state wards.

When Oyebanji submitted his candidacy form in Abuja on Wednesday, he demonstrated political strength, he said.

The former governor claimed that those who are still holding into the illusory belief that there won’t be a vacancy in the Ekiti Government House till 2030 should now understand the number of influential political figures who followed Oyebanji when he submitted his party’s nomination form in Abuja on Wednesday.

“The governor will not only surpass my record of 16 to 0 by winning all 177 wards,” he declared.

Reiterating that he was not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fayose emphasized that he still supported President Bola Tinubu and Oyebanji and that he owed no one an apology for his actions.

“Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated where the Ekiti people are by submitting his party nomination form in that manner yesterday, even though it is an overkill,” he stated.

“With God’s help, he will not only surpass my electoral record of winning in the state’s 16 LGAs, but he will also win in all 177 wards.”

Governor Oyebanji should keep his attention on providing the citizens of Ekiti with good government and the benefits of democracy until 2030, as he has been doing.

“He ought to disregard those who are making noise about difficulties. They are nothing more than a teacup storm.
