FCT-IRS Gets Acting Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Michael Hadi Ango as the acting chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS).

The new chairman, who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the International Association of Privacy Professionals, is from Kebbi State.

A statement signed by the director of Press, Office of the FCT Minister, Mr Anthony Ogunleye, said Ango’s appointment is expected to expand the FCT-IRS revenue base.

According to the statement, Ango will take over from Mr Haruna Abdullahi, who headed the FCT-IRS in an acting capacity for about three years.

He stated that Ango will bring his wealth of experience and a proven track record in revenue administration, financial management and organisational leadership.

The statement added that the new chairman has over 20 years of service in the public and private sectors, where he demonstrated his commitment to excellence and innovation in revenue collection and management.
