Nigerians have been informed by the Federal Government that the economic reforms put in place by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are beginning to show positive results.
This pledge was reportedly given by Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, at the 4th edition of the 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing, which took place on Thursday at the National Press Center in Abuja.
He observed that the cost of food has significantly dropped, that exchange rates have stabilized, and that the price of petroleum items has been gradually declining.

Idris said that some of the challenges Nigerians confront have been lessened by these advancements.
The minister also gave the populace credit for their perseverance and fortitude during this difficult economic shift.

He understood that even if the changes caused economic challenges at first, they were necessary to achieve long-term prosperity for the country.

Idris reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting stability and advancement.

We are already witnessing noticeable progress as we carry out these important reforms. The cost of petroleum items is progressively decreasing, food costs are falling, and exchange rates are stabilizing.

These reforms are crucial to the growth and development of our nation; they are not only well-meaning. As the advantages of these measures become apparent, let me state that we have passed the Rubicon and that the pains are progressively subsiding.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their endurance, patience, and faith in the President’s vision.” Although they require sacrifice, meaningful reforms open the door to a more secure and prosperous future, he stated.

He also urged religious leaders to offer prayers for the nation’s peace, security, and progress during the current Ramadan and Lent seasons.

We will come out stronger, more resilient, and in a position to succeed for a long time if we have faith, work together, and remain united.

“I underlined the crucial link between faith, politics, and governance at the Nigerian Television Authority’s (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s (FRCN), and Voice of Nigeria’s (VON) Annual Ramadan Lecture last week in Kaduna.

“I can guarantee you that President Tinubu leads with the utmost fear of God, guided by the conviction that history will judge his administration favorably. A nation thrives when its leaders govern with a sense of divine responsibility,” the Minister continued.
