According to Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), he has nothing to conceal and has denied claims that he has properties in the US.
Human rights advocate and past presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore petitioned the Florida Attorney General last week, demanding that the minister’s visa be banned, the alleged assets be forfeited, and those implicated be prosecuted.
According to Sowore, the minister bought the property, which is situated at 113 Spring Creek Lane in Winter Springs, Florida, in March 2025 and registered it in the names of Wike’s children, Joaquin, Jazmyne, and Jordan, together with his wife, Justice Eberechi Wike, a sitting judge.
Additionally, certain organizations have released comments urging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and President Bola Tinubu to look into the allegations to see whether they are real.
His principal has already publicly addressed such charges and is unconcerned, according to Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister.
The FCT minister is not concerned about any of these issues, to start. He has addressed many of these accusations in public. Political interests allegedly worried by Wike’s influence within the Tinubu administration are funding Sowore, according to Olayinka, who accused him of operating a protest-driven “business enterprise.”

In order to protest, he will assemble defenseless young people and set up shop where the cops may arrest him.
