Former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC
The ex-lawmaker was issued the APC membership card by the State Chairman of the Party in Abia, Kingsley Ononogbu, on Tuesday.
Recall that Enyinnaya, the son of Theodore Orji, a former governor of Abia State had on Monday tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The ex-speaker, who briefed some of his close supporters on Monday night, said the move had become very necessary, following some issues rocking the party.
âAfter careful consultation and personal decision, I have decided to exit the PDP. Itâs time to move on with our lives,â he said.
