Hon. Hamid Babatunde Eesuola, a former lawmaker in Oyo State, has died.
After a brief illness, Eesuola, who represented the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Atiba State Constituency, passed away on Thursday in the state capital of Ibadan.
At the time of his death, Eesuola was reportedly nearing the end of his doctoral studies at the University of Ibadan’s Faculty of Education.
In addition, Eesuola served as the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency’s (OYCSDA) chairman.
Eesuola was a respected member of the Alaafin High School Alumni Association, according to Engineer Seun Adesiji, the National Vice President of the association, who verified the news of his passing.
He acknowledged that Hon. Eesuola had died this morning in Ibadan.

The former lawmaker’s passing has also been confirmed by Hon. Mohammed Sarafadeen, the former interim chairman of the Surulere North Local Council Development Area.
Sarafadeen prayed for the deceased’s ultimate rest in a post he put on his Facebook page on Friday.
“May the All-Powerful Allah pardon your transgressions and bestow upon you Aljanah.” RIP, Hon. Eesuola, my brother,” Sarafadeen said in prayer.
