The Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Plc has promised its annuitants of prompt annuity payments and superior service delivery.
Speaking at the GNI 2024 Annual Retirees Experience Forum in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos recently, its managing director, Roselyn Ulaeto said, the forum is a platform designed to get valid feedback from you as to our services to you in the course of the year.
The forum, which assembled retirees from both government and private establishments, she said, is a platform through which the insurance firm interfaces, entertains, and interacts with its teeming Annuitants.
Addressing retirees, she said, “It’s basically a yearly review of our business relationship with you and how best to strengthen that relationship to be mutually beneficial for us all within the ambit of the law.
“An integral part of our shared values are empathy and passion for customers. You might have noticed that we are not just interested in the Annuity business only, we are also concerned about you, your health, your aspirations, and your general well-being.”
She further reassured the senior citizens of the company’s commitment to keep its promise, stating that, “the driving force of our annuity plan is the vision to guarantee a hassle-free, trusted, consistent and reliable payout plan for our Annuitants. We will keep retooling and fine-tuning our processes using your feedback to ensure every modicum of stress is eliminated…We are firmly committed to ensuring you are paid on or before the 15th of every month.”
The head of Inspectorate of the Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC), Eze Olaseni who was present at the event, encouraged Annuitants, especially, that of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission to come up with ideas and strategies that will guarantee a more robust experience for all pensioners in the state.
She said her office is open to receive suggestions that could contribute to the progress and overall welfare of the State pension scheme.
In her response to a question from an Annuitant, Eze Olaseni revealed that, the current administration under governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is not owing any pensioner from the State.
She then thanked the MD and management of GNI for their thoughtfulness in organising such elaborate event for pensioners yearly.
Earlier, an Annuitant, Mojisola Dada stated that ,’our pension money comes exactly the time they promised us it will come.’
GNI is just the best, says another annuitant, Felicia Lara Otibo, adding that, “I do not regret ever coming here. A friend of mine wanted to drag me elsewhere, but I said no. I do not know of any other Insurance company that has this kind of gathering.”
Another satisfied Annuitant, Fakeye said, ‘they should keep on maintaining their name, they are very, very great.’
The Head, Retail & Micro Insurance, Bosede Ibesanmi who is in charge of the Annuity portfolio at GNI, in her vote of thanks, expressed her profound gratitude to the senior citizens who came out en masse to honour the event.
There was also a dance competition and presentation of gifts to winners while the rest of the competitors received consolation prices. The event provided an opportunity for old friends and former colleagues to reconnect, network and tighten bonds while fostering new alliances.
