Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, chaired a lengthy State Executive Council meeting on Friday, where important state policies were examined and new implementation guidelines were given to ministries and agencies.

Adeleke instructed the Commissioner for Energy to create an implementation strategy and approach the National Electricity Regulatory Commission for support regarding the recently enacted State Electricity Market law.
In addition to creating a plan for the implementation of blockchain and artificial intelligence, the governor assigned the Ministry of Science and Innovation the responsibility of expediting the implementation of the State ICT and Tech Innovation policies.
He called on the ministry to portray Osun as a tech-driven state while applauding the Imole Wifi Initiative’s launch.
Adeleke directed the Statewide Youth Agropreneurship Project, which had been started in Oriade, to be immediately implemented in other local government areas with regard to agriculture.
In regards to sports, he urged tighter cooperation with the House of Assembly and demanded immediate work on measures creating the Osun Sports Commission, the Police Trust Fund, and the Osun Sports Development Fund.
Adeleke requested that ALGON members draft developmental documents that were in line with the state agenda in order to address the local government dilemma. He charged the Ministry of Budget and the Chief of Staff with spearheading the effort.

The governor’s speech was adopted as the council’s resolutions, formally ending the meeting.
