The All Progressives Congress (APC) has gained the support of former Enugu governor Peter Mbah.
At a news conference on Tuesday, he made the announcement.
According to the governor, he decided to join the APC in order to better serve the people of Enugu and to support the party’s goals for growth and advancement.
Mbah stated at the briefing that he is dedicated to furthering the interests of the state and that he is confident that the APC platform will offer more chances for cooperation and development.
While expressing gratitude to his old party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for their support over the years, he pointed out that the change is necessary to meet the objectives of his administration.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Peoples Democratic Party for giving us the platform on which we ran and won. He remarked, “The PDP joined us in celebrating the victory and helped us through a demanding campaign.”
“To serve higher ideals and objectives, leadership necessitates making tough, sometimes painful, decisions. And everyone must eventually make a brave decision to shape their own future.
“After much deliberation, we have decided to join the All Progressives Congress today.”
Before the governor’s scheduled defection, members of Mbah’s cabinet joined the APC on Monday.
