Zainab Abbas, the wife of an Adamawa State High Court Judge, has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.
The incident occurred between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Nyibango, Army Barracks road in Jimeta Yola, Adamawa State.
A gang of kidnappers stormed the community a fortnight ago and abducted renowned televangelist Pastor Mike Ochigbo.
In a statement, the Adamawa Police Command revealed the latest abduction and vowed to rescue the abducted High Court Judge’s wife.
According to the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, has deployed operatives from the Crack Squad and Special Rapid Response Team for the rescue mission.

According to Nguroje, the operatives are also expected to raid criminal hideouts and black spots in order to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspects and their accomplices.
“These deployments will undoubtedly aid in coordinating a timely response to distress calls and clamping down on those found committing crimes,” he said. As all DPOs are to conduct stop and search operations, the CP has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations and Deployment to coordinate the Designed Rescue operation.”
He explained that the strategy would include technological innovation, such as the use of electronic devices to record pictorial evidence of those involved.
