A 20-year-old woman was reportedly shot dead while being held hostage by six suspected hoodlums in the Bayelsa State community of Azikoro, a suburb of Yenagoa.
Vanguard discovered that the thugs invaded the typically tranquil Azikoro Community Health Centre axis armed with dangerous weapons, broke into their home after damaging the break-in, stole phones, obtained all of the ATM cards, and withdrew their victims’ money using the PoS machines they brought.
It was discovered that the incident took place early on Tuesday.
The deceased, 20-year-old Elo Lucky, was reportedly shot by the robbers for sounding the alarm.

She reportedly woke up in terror at the sight of the thugs robbing her family and screamed, which infuriated the intruders who then opened fire on her.
It was learned that the deceased woman from Delta State, who lived with her mother and stepfather, was about to sit for the supplementary JAMB exams when she tragically passed away.
An anonymous source claimed that they were unaware of the attack until they heard a loud noise that was thought to be gunshots, which took the woman’s life.
According to reports, the robbers broke into about six other homes in the neighbourhood without being confronted, ransacked them, robbed the occupants of their cash, and even threatened to kill anyone who didn’t give them their ATM card pin for immediate withdrawal through their PoS.
When reached, Asinim Butswat, a spokesman for the state police command, confirmed the incident and stated that further enquiries were being made.
