The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has charged Nigerians leaders to keep in touch with those at the grassroots and change their lives for good.
Speaking during his defection on Wednesday in Enugu, Obi said he goes to places people in government fear to go to.
Obi said, “I have gone round the whole states across the country. I have gone to where those who are in government fear to go or even fail to acknowledge publicly.
“I have being to IDPs camps in Benue, Plateau and other places. I’ve been there. I see the pain of the people. I see their pain all over.
“So we must turn around our country. God gave us everything. No country in the world that I can imagine has what Nigeria has today. How can we be hungry?”
