Ibrahim Dankwambo, the immediate past governor of Gombe yesterday discloser that there was no much different between when he was in power and when he left power yesterday as he had lived a simple life just like an ordinary citizen and had never used the many privileges attached to the office of the executive governor of Gombe state thus had nothing to miss being an ordinary citizen now. The former governor who handed over yesterday to the All Progressives Congress’ Inuwa Yahaya revealed that he operated from his personal house throughout the eight years he ruled the state as Governor and never made use of the state’s lodge in Abuja anytime he visits as he always resorts to using his personal houses and thus just like when he was governor, slept at the usual place, his house on the first night of being out of power after 8years of his sojourn as the chief security officer of the state. The tweet which has since gone viral reads; “As governor of Gombe for 8 years, I never lived in the government house neither did I use the government lodge in Abuja. I stayed in my personal house knowing perfectly well that government house is not my house. Tonight, I am sleeping in my home as usual”.
