Canadian singer and rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, known professionally as Drake, has revealed that he has Nigerian roots.

The ‘One Dance’ crooner shared his dad’s DNA ethnicity test result via his Instastory recently.

The result shows that his dad is 30% Nigerian, 28% Cameroonian, 11% Ivorian/Ghanaian, 4% Beninese/Togolese and partly Malian.

Sharing the result, he wrote, “This is my dads results does this mean I’m a Naija man finally?”.

He is not the first foreign superstar to claims Nigerian roots. Beyoncé, SZA, Diddy and host of others have claimed their ancestors were from Nigeria in the past.

Last year, Rihanna claimed her ancestors were Igbo. She later explained that she didn’t mention Nigeria because the country was nonexistent at the time her ancestors left the shores of Igboland.
