This is according to a statement issued on Thursday by the NYSC spokesman in Imo, Ugochukwu Orunta.
The gesture, according to the statement, fulfilled Governor Hope Uzodimma’s promise to prioritise corps members’ welfare.
He went on to say that the improved conditions would bring out the best in the corps members and encourage them to contribute significantly to the development of the state and Nigeria.
During their service year, the governor urged the corps members to be dedicated, disciplined, and resourceful.
It expressed profound gratitude to Rachael Idaewor, the Imo NYSC coordinator, for the gesture expressing the government’s youth-friendliness.

“Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved and begun payment of N10,000 as a monthly allowance to each corps member in the state,” according to the statement.
It maintained that the gesture would greatly assist corps members in carrying out their duties.
According to the statement, a cross-section of corps members thanked the governor for caring about their well-being.
According to the statement, the corps members “pledged to reciprocate the gesture by giving their all in their respective Places of Primary Assignment and host communities.”
