Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy and Communication, has charged a “unnamed opposition leader” with being responsible for the “Christian genocide” accusation against Nigeria.
According to Bwala, the opposition leader recently visited the US, and as soon as he got back, the accusation began to circulate.
He claims that social media users ought to be familiar with the opposition leader and that he doesn’t want to exalt “him” by bringing up his name.
This was stated by the presidential spokesperson during an interview with TVC’s Politics on Sunday show.
According to reports, US Senator Ted Cruz and American television broadcasters measure Maher and CNN’s Van Jones recently declared their intention to draft a measure in the US Senate to “protect Christians in Nigeria.”
Nigeria was also included as one of the world’s most hazardous places for Christians in a resolution passed by the Canadian Parliament.
Speaking on the subject, Bwala emphasized that the days of African nations doing nothing in response to what he described as a Western disinformation effort are over.
Yes, naturally, we began witnessing all of that as soon as a Nigerian politician returned from his trip to the United States. It’s a textbook.
We don’t find these things surprising, particularly when the opponent doesn’t even understand the notion, concept, or foundation of the opposition.
The opposition’s role is to offer substitute ideas. Therefore, the next thing that comes to mind when you have no other thought is to imagine a situation in which the Nigerian state is not at peace. When asked if he believes the opposition in Nigeria likewise backed the “Christian genocide” story to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Bwala said, “Yes, I agree with that fact.”
Social media users will be familiar with the opposition leader, after all. Everyone was aware that he had visited the United States, but I don’t want to exalt him by naming him. All of these things began a few days following his return.
But since I see past him, allow me to say this. The days of African nations sitting back and doing nothing in the face of a Western disinformation effort against them are long gone.
“It has been occurring and has been a textbook that is frequently utilized in other nations to impose various measures to make the government unpopular,” he continued.
