Jandor Claims 2027 Governorship Election Will Be Easy with Tinubu’s Support

With President Bola Tinubu’s support, Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has stated that he will easily win the state’s 2027 governorship election.
The comments were reportedly made by the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 gubernatorial candidate, who just switched to the APC, during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday.

Jandor went on to say that he will support and advocate for the APC governor candidate regardless of his desire to become governor.

“You cannot imagine what is going to happen this time if I have the party in Lagos State and Mr. President’s solid backing,” he remarked. It will go easily.

I don’t mean to offend anyone, though. And I’m going to reiterate this: we will all support and campaign for whatever the party ultimately chooses.

You know, while we were at the party in 2021 and 2022, I played a clever trick. Because I am aware that we are not wired to act in an anti-party manner, and that we will all comply as soon as the party introduces someone.

As you may remember, Jandor just announced that he would run for governor in 2027.

In an interview with Vanguard on Thursday, Jandor brushed aside rumors about other possible candidates, such as former governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the president’s son Seyi Tinubu.

Along with declaring his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign, he said the president deserved another term to build on his accomplishments and guide the nation to even higher heights.
