The Presidential election tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday adjourned it’s hearing to the 15th of July 2019 over claims by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s a candidate in the 2019 Presidential elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that its witnesses were attacked by bandits in Zamfara state.
The lead counsel of the opposition party’s team of lawyers, Mr Livy Uzokwu SAN while seeking an adjournment told the tribunal that his client’s witnesses in Zamfara state had been attacked by bandits displacing many vital persons who are billed to testify in the tribunal. The party further stated that some of the witnesses could not be found after the attack and sought an adjournment to remedy the situation.
The Presidential election petition tribunal after listening to the submissions of the counsels adjourned the proceeding till the 15th of July 2019
