The Member Representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Daniel Amos has launched a free computer centre for his constituents.
In a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Victor Dabo, and obtained by Arewa TheNigerian, he reiterated that the initiative was part of the lawmaker’s commitment to fostering self-knowledge and promoting computer literacy in a rapidly evolving technological world.
He explained that the initiative also offers constituents, especially school-age individuals, the opportunity to acquire essential skills in basic computer appreciation, web design, graphic design, JAMB-CBT training, and other professional training programs.
“Currently, the free training program has enrolled over 40 students from the various communities across the Jema’a Local Government Area, adding that the inaugural cohort is scheduled to graduate in March 2025.
“I am also delighted to share the commencement of the JAMB-CBT training for final-year secondary school students at the center.
“This initiative is specifically designed to equip prospective JAMB candidates in the public schools within the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency with foundational computer skills. The program aims to train 385 students from the two LGAs.
“So far, students from six out of the 18 participating senior secondary schools in the Jema’a LGA have started their training at the centers in the Government Secondary School, Kafanchan; Government Girls Secondary School, Kafanchan; Government Secondary School, Tsonje; Government Secondary School, Ungwan Fari; Government Secondary School, Bakin Kogi and the Government Secondary School, Zikpak.”
He continued, “The public schools in Sanga Local Government Area will follow next while my team of consultants are working diligently to ensure that all technical and logistical arrangements necessary for the success of the training are in place,” Amos concluded.
